Cross Country Runners Headed to Vegas for Charity Half-Marathon

BRISTOL, R.I. - Roger Williams University juniors Samantha Buechner (Nashua, N.H.) and Leah Junco-Seyer (Basking Ridge, N.J.) of the Women's Cross Country Team will be traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Rock N' Roll Half Marathon to benefit the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.

The event will be held December 6th in Vegas, and 14 cities around the country will follow on later dates.  Buechner and Seyer will be running 13.1 miles on a route that takes them right down the Vegas Strip.  Additionally, live entertainment will be set up at various points along the route and the event will be televised locally.

The duo have been on the Women's Cross Country team for three years now, and are happy to get the opportunity to run for a good cause.  They have been able to raise $700 for the event this Sunday.

If you would to keep track of Seyer and Buechner's progress, you can do so online by going to the event home page and clicking on the LiveResults bug.
