Kearney selected to NEILA All-Star Game

FAIRFIELD, Conn.Roger Williams University Men's Lacrosse senior Rian Kearney (Duxbury, Mass.) has been selected by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association to take part in the 2010 NEILA Turfer East/West All-Star Game on Sunday, June 6 at Endicott College.

 

The All-Star Game teams up collegiate players in Divisions I, II, and III from all across New England to take part in the competition. Kearney is one of seven players from The Commonwealth Coast Conference to be selected to participate in the contest.

 

As a long-stick middie this past season, Kearney was honored as an All-TCCC Second Team selection. He appeared in 16 of the Hawks' 17 games with 13 starts. He finished second on the team in ground balls with 64 while tying for the third on the Hawks with 11 caused turnovers.

 

Roger Williams finished the season with a 10-7 overall record, advancing to The Commonwealth Coast Conference Semifinals before falling 10-6 to eventual conference championship Endicott College.
