SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – With the 2010-11 season fast approaching, The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Tennis Preseason Poll was released, with Roger Williams University picked to finish second in the conference.
Nichols College earned the top spot in the preseason poll with six first-place votes. Roger Williams received two votes for first, along with Colby-Sawyer College, followed by Endicott College and Salve Regina University each getting a vote for first.

Roger Williams is coming off a 2009-10 campaign that saw the Hawks finish 8-3 in the TCCC, good for fifth place. In the TCCC Tournament, RWU faced off against fourth-seeded Western New England College, where the Hawks defeated the Golden Bears 6-2 to face top-seeded Colby-Sawyer College. The Chargers ended the Hawks' run with a 5-2 victory, but this season the Hawks look to advance back to the conference championship match and claim its first TCCC title since 2007.
