Women’s Lacrosse Nets Eight All-CCC Players & Offensive Player Of The Year

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Lacrosse team placed eight student-athletes on the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference Team, as well as the CCC Offensive Player of the Year.

Kaelin Hogan (Bethel, Conn.) was honored as CCC Offensive Player of the Year in addition to her All-CCC First Team selection. McKenna Everding (Fayetteville, N.Y.), Emily Stoeppel (Brookfield, Conn.), and Caitlin Shanahan (Forest Hill, Md.) were each also named to the All-CCC First Team. Elizabeth Cahn (Baltimore, Md.) and Kimberly Bolk (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) both made the All-CCC Second Team, while Marin Owens (Brookline, N.H.) and Alayna Fogg (Norwood, Mass.) were selected to the All-CCC Third Team.

Hogan was an offensive star for the No. 2 seeded Hawks this year. She finished the regular season with 85 points to lead the conference and currently ranks 13th in all of NCAA Division III. A lot her damage was done with helpers as she had a league-leading 36 assists. That total also puts her at No. 20 nationally. However, she was not lacking in goal department either. The junior potted 49 tallies, ranking her fifth in the CCC. She also had 40 draw controls.

Everding has continued her prolific scoring in her final season as a Hawk. She currently ranked second on the team with 47 goals scored, in addition to being third on the team with 55 points. On the year, she has totaled 21 ground balls in addition to causing nine turnovers and 13 draw controls. She also became the second player in RWU history with 200 goals scored and stands at 202 for her career.

Stoeppel ranks among the Commonwealth Coast Conference statistical leaders in a number of categories, including goals with 46 (8th), assists with 21 (7th), points with 67 (4th), draw controls with 56 (7th), and ground balls with 44 (10th). Her five game-winning goals leads the team and has scored at least two points in all 15 games this season.

Shanahan has been a stalwart presence on the defensive end for Roger Williams over the season. She currently ranks second on the team with 18 caused turnovers and third on the Hawks with 32 ground balls. She logged four ground balls and a season-high four caused turnovers in an 11-7 win over the University of New England on April 22.

Cahn has started all 15 games on the season as one of the primary defenders for Roger Williams. For the season, she has amassed 15 ground balls and three draw controls, in addition to tying for fifth on the team with ten caused turnovers. One of her best games of the season came against Endicott on March 25, where she tallied three ground balls and had a season-high three caused turnovers.

Bolk has continued her stellar play in net for Roger Williams in her fourth season as the Hawks' starting goalkeeper. She leads the Commonwealth Coast Conference with 12 wins on the season while ranking third with a .483 save percentage and fifth with 192 saves. Her 7.46 goals-against average is second-best in the CCC and has only allowed 44 goals in conference play, also second-best in the conference.

Owens has been another key to the Hawks' success this season. She ranks fourth on the team with 20 goals scored and 40 points scored, while her 20 assists place her tied for third on the team. She has also collected 14 ground balls and totaled nine caused turnovers on the year for RWU.

Fogg has been another starting defender that has played a crucial role for Roger Williams all season long. She has started all 15 games on the season for RWU in the backfield. For the year, she has 21 ground balls, six draw controls, and eight ground balls. She set a new season high with four ground balls and four caused turnovers against Curry on March 28.
