BRISTOL, RI – Roger Williams University has named junior Jared Falconer (Ludlow, Mass.) RWU Male Athlete of the Week.  Falconer had an outstanding week as forward, recording five points in the Hawks’ three contests last week.

During the Johnson and Wales game Wednesday, Falconer tallied a goal and two assists, leading RWU to the 8-0 victory. After helping teammate Bradley Macdonald on a goal just 4:24 into the game, Falconer dribbled up the field to the left side of the box at the 20:53 mark and fired a shot to the back of the net notching his first goal of the season. At 50:31, he recorded another assist on the Hawks’ fourth goal of the game.

On September 12, Falconer assisted freshman midfielder Billy Kissane (Glastonbury, Conn.) to give RWU the 1-0 lead until a relentless Wentworth team tied the game with fewer than four minutes remaining and eventually won on a penalty kick in the game’s second overtime.

Falconer and the Hawks take on Framingham State College on their home turf at 4p.m. Wednesday.
