BRISTOL, R.I.- RWU Sailing Team member Kelly Stannard (Salem, Conn.) was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the team to the Hood Trophy over the weekend on Mystic Lake in Boston, Mass.

Racing Larks on a warm, sunny Saturday and a cool, wet Sunday, Stannard and teammate Sean Bouchard (Bermuda) took first place among 24 teams in the B Division. The two combined for six top-three finishes in the 10 races, including four in first place. The team never finished out of the top 10, leading to a 45 point total, 15 better than the nearest B Division competitor, Tufts University.
