BRISTOL, R.I.- RWU Sailing Team member Sean Bouchard (Bermuda) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the team to the Hood Trophy over the weekend on Mystic Lake in Boston, Mass.

Racing Larks on a warm, sunny Saturday and a cool, wet Sunday, Bouchard and teammate Kelly Stannard (Salem, Conn.) took first place among 24 teams in the B Division. The two combined for six top-three finishes in the 10 races, including four in first place. The team never finished out of the top 10, leading to a 45 point total, 15 better than the nearest B Division competitor, Tufts University.

The 45 points combined with RWU’s 67 points garnered in the A Division gave RWU the first-place finish overall with 112 points, 32 ahead of the runner-up, in-state rival Salve Regina.
