BRISTOL, R.I.- Senior tri-captain Nick Cambi (Cohasset, Mass.) has been named RWU Male Athlete of the Week after posting a record of 4-0 to win the 197 championship at the Ithaca College Invitational last weekend.

The team placed sixth overall helped by Cambi’s strong performance, including a first-round win by fall over Johnson & Wales opponent Bill Mulligan in just 34 seconds. In his next match he earned a 6-1 decision before defeating Cortland’s third-ranked Carl Korpi, 11-6. In the Championship match, Cambi held NYU’s James Myers scoreless while scoring three points for the victory.

The Hawks return home as they host the annual Roger Williams University Invitational Tournament next weekend. The matches begin at 10 a.m. in the Recreation Field house.
