BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Athletics Department has named wrestler #Martin Mitchell# (Laurel, Md.) as the Athlete of the week for his performance at the RWU invitational over the weekend.  Mitchell won his weight class and helped the team capture first place at the RWU Invitational.

The sophomore took home top honors as he won the 141 weight lb. class at the RWU Invitational on Saturday.  Mitchell would go 4-0 on the day as he beat the competition he faced from the wrestlers from Southern Maine, Wesleyan, and two from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on his way to victory.  He was the lone winner on the day from RWU, and led the way to the overall victory for the team.

Mitchell and the rest of the Wrestling team will be in action this Wednesday when they will host the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
