BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University Freshman #Alexandria Lanieri# (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) of the Women’s Basketball team has once again been named RWU Female Athlete of the Week as well as TCCC Rookie of the Week.  This marks the second week in a row that Lanieri has received both honors.

In the Hawks home opener last Tuesday the team was defeated by a score of 52-46.  Lanieri put in a strong individual effort as she put up 13 points, grabbed 20 rebounds (eight of which were offensive), had three steals and two blocks in 39 minutes of playing time.  In the four games which she played in she has recorded a double-double in each contest, leading the team offensively.

Lanieri and the rest of the Women’s Basketball team return to action Tuesday at 6 p.m. as they host Lasell College.
