BRISTOL, R.I. – Teammates on the RWU Equestrian Team, Sarah Cholewa (Griswold, Conn.) and Olivia Cornell (Rowley, Mass.), earned RWU Co-Female Athlete of the Week honors after their strong performance this past weekend qualified both riders to the Zone I Finals.

Competing Saturday at the Region I Finals in Gales Ferry, Conn. the pair won their respective events, qualifying to represent RWU as the top riders in their divisions. Cholewa won the Walk-Trot while Cornell won the Novice Flat.

This marks the first appearance for Cholewa at Zones and the second-straight appearance for Cornell, having competed at the Zone 1, Region 1 Championship in the Walk-Trot-Canter division in 2009.

The Zone I Finals are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 3, at Mount Holyoke College.
