BRISTOL, R.I. – Men’s Tennis senior Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.) earned two weekly awards Monday, taking The Commonwealth Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week and the RWU Male Athlete of the Week honors.

 

Baker was undefeated in his four matches last week, helping the Hawks to 5-4 wins over both Colby-Sawyer College and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Friday’s New Hampshire victory featured Baker defeating his singles opponent 6-3, 6-3, while also winning his doubles match, 8-5.

 

Against the Leopards of Wentworth, Baker won his singles match 7-5, 6-2 and his doubles match 8-4. He is currently riding a four-game winning streak in singles and a three-game winning streak in doubles play.

 

RWU looks to stay undefeated in the TCCC Wednesday when it hosts Salve Regina in a 4 p.m. match.
