BRISTOL, RI—Roger Williams University senior Amanda Magee (Columbus, N.J) of the Women’s Lacrosse team has been named RWU Female Athlete of the Week as well as TCCC Defensive Player of the Week after her impressive performance in this week’s matchups.  For the week, Magee only allowed 3.61 goals per game and boasted a .820 save average.

In Monday’s win over Rhode Island College, Magee recorded 14 saves in just 43 minutes of play and 9 saves in 46 minutes against TCCC rival Salve Regina University.  She earned 18 saves out of 22 shots on goal in RWU’s win over Colby-Sawyer College. 

With Magee’s strong play this past week, the women’s lacrosse team has improved their overall record to 6-3.  They look to extend their current four-game winning streak in Tuesday’s 7 p.m. game at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass.
