BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University has named sophomore Sean Bouchard (Bermuda) and freshman Bianca Rom (Amityville, N.Y.) RWU Male and Female Athlete of the Week. Together, Bouchard and Rom helped lead the Sailing team into a fourth place finish at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Dinghy Championships.

The two helped Roger Williams earn one of the eight berths to the ICSA Dinghy Semi-Finals by taking second place overall in B Division with top-seven finishes in 12 of the 16 races including three runners-up and two wins.

In the first weekend in May, the Hawks will head west to Seattle in order to qualify for the ICSA Coed Dinghy National Championship in June. RWU will need place within the top nine to qualify for Nationals, which will be held in Wisconsin.

This weekend, Roger Williams will be hosting the Staake Trophy Team Race on Saturday and Sunday.
