BRISTOL, R.I. – RWU senior Cy Thompson (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) has been named the RWU Male Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance in the Harry Anderson Trophy this past weekend.

As skipper, Thompson teamed-up with Kelly Stannard (Salem, Mass.) and finished among the top three in five of their ten races, including two first-place finishes. He also raced with teammate Alyssa Seifert (Duxbury, Mass.), adding two more third-place finishes.  At the end of the day, Cy and his teammates earned 53 points leading them to capture first place in the A Division ahead of a very strong field including Brown University, Yale University and Harvard University.
