BRISTOL, R.I. – RWU junior Kelly Stannard (Salem, Mass.) has been named the RWU Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in winning the A Division of the highly competitive Harry Anderson Trophy at Short Beach Cove, Conn. this weekend.

 

Out of 20 teams, Stannard and teammate Cy Thompson (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) won their A Division with a total of 53 points. Competing in 10 out of 12 races together, they finished top-five in all but two races and took first place twice.

 

The 53 points edged Brown University by one point for the title and bettered Yale and Harvard by 15 and 24 points, respectively.
