BRISTOL RI—Roger Williams University Women’s Basketball team member Alexandria Lanieri (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week after her strong performance in the season’s opening week.

In the Hawks’ first victory of the season over Newbury College, Lanieri filled up the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals. The following night she notched a career-high 27 points and five blocks in RWU’s victory over Wheaton College.

Lanieri and the rest of the Women’s Basketball team look to extend their undefeated streak Tuesday, Nov. 23^rd as they travel to Salve Regina University for a 6 p.m. tip off.
