BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University freshman diver Adam Stanley (Litchfield, Conn.) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week Monday after earning All-New England honors at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championships.

Held at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., the NEISDA Championships began Saturday with the one-meter diving competition. Stanley recorded 312.55 points in the event – good for a seventh-place finish in all of New England.  

He followed up with another excellent performance Sunday in the three-meter competition. With a score of 310.05, Stanley posted a third-place finish in the event.  

His strong showing will help to provide momentum for this weekend’s swimming portion of the NEISDA Championships, held in White River Junction, Vt., Saturday and Sunday.
