BRISTOL, R.I. – Junior Hannah Pirez (Bolton, Mass.) has been named Roger Williams University Female Athlete of the Week after helping the Hawks to a 4-2 record this past week, including a 4-0 start to open the 2011 Commonwealth Coast Conference season.

After going 1-for-3 in the second game of a doubleheader against Coast Guard Academy on Tuesday, the junior shortstop hit her second home run of the season in a 10-0 win against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday. She would finish the doubleheader with two hits, three runs scored, and five RBIs.

The following day against Anna Maria College, Pirez would tally two more home runs in a 6-4 win in the doubleheader opener. She added another home run in the second game, finishing her day with three home runs, a double, five runs scored, and four RBIs.

Pirez and the Hawks host Salve Regina University on Wednesday afternoon with a 4:00 p.m. game-time.
