BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University sophomore Baseball shortstop John Oppenhimer (Westport, Conn.) has been named TCCC Player of the Week in his performance for the team last week.

Oppenhimer batted .438 (7-for-16) with one double, one home run, five RBI and five runs scored in a 3-2 week for the Hawks.  He collected three hits and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of TCCC rival Endicott and also two hits in back-to-back victories over Brandeis and Colby-Sawyer. Oppenhimer turned in three multiple-hit games last week and either drove in or scored multiple runs in four of five games.

Roger Williams University will close out the regular season on Saturday at home against New England College.
