Roger Williams University Athletics

Sophomore women’s soccer player Tory Benoit (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been named the Roger Williams University Female Athlete of the Week.  Benoit scored two goals in a three minute span as the Hawks picked up their first win of the season, defeating Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Eastern Nazarene by a score of 4-0.

Benoit scored in the 76^th minute when she collected the rebound off her own shot following a cross from Laurin Pendelton (Southwick, Mass.).  Benoit found the back of the net again in the 79^th minute on a cross from Alexa Maher (Hopewell, N.J.).
