BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University junior 197-pounder Philip Ernst (Succasunna, N.J.) is the RWU Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 21, 2011.  He was also named the Pilgrim League’s Wrestler of the Week.

Ernst went 4-0 as he captured first place at Springfield College’s Doug Parker Invitational.  He pinned his first opponent in 2:29 and then outscored his next three opponents 17-3 en route to the title.  Ernst was not taken down once in the tournament.

RWU Wrestling opens its Pilgrim League dual meet schedule when they host Coast Guard on Wednesday, December 7^th at 7:00 pm.
