Junior 184-pound wrestler Shane Parcel (Pine Brook, N.J.) has been named the Roger Williams University Male Athlete of the Week for December 12, 2011.

Parcel started the week by helping the Hawks to a 37-6 victory over Coast Guard by defeating his opponent 8-1.  In a 28-12 setback to intra-state rival Johnson and Wales, Parcel pinned his opponent in 1:27 to earn 6 points for the Hawks.

The Hawks wrestling team returns to action with the Williams College Tournament on January 7.
