Sophomore wrestler Collin Crowell (Hampstead, N.H.) has earned RWU Male Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending March 2^nd after his performance at the New England Championships.

Wrestling at 165, Crowell earned a 9-1 major decision win over Frank Marotti of Johnson & Wales in the fourth round.  He lost to Derek Longo of Springfield College during the semifinals in a 7-5 decision before being pinned Coast Guard’s Lucas Taylor to secure third place overall.  Crowell was named to the All-New England team for finishing at the top of the 165 bracket.

Crowell also received one of the two at-large bids for the New England region for the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.  He will represent the Hawks in the 165-pound weight class beginning on March 8^th.
