Softball senior infielder Erica Castro (Medford, N.Y.) batted .667 (10-for-15) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, five runs scored, while adding two walks for an impressive .722 on-base percentage. She batted safely and had at least one extra base hit in three of the Hawks’ four contests during a 4-0 week. Castro’s best performance came in the second game of a twinbill versus CCC foe Gordon in which she batted 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI to help the Hawks defeat the Fighting Scots, 10-2. In addition, she slugged 1.333 last week.
