Krystie Luczynski played a key role as the Hawks opened the 2012 season with a 6-2 record. Luczynski averaged a team-high 3.39 kills per set, while hitting an efficient .298 over 23 sets. She notched double-digit kills in five of her eight matches, including 11 against top-ranked Christopher Newport. Other strong efforts from Luczynski included 17 kills against Emmanuel, 12 kills against Bridgewater, 11 kills against CCC rival University of New England and 10 kills against NYU-Polytechnic.
