Roger Williams University junior third baseman Mike Thomas (Plainville, Conn.) has been selected as RWU Male Athlete of the Week. Thomas batted .556 (10-for -18) with a double, one home run, six runs scored, five RBI and no strikeouts in a 4-3 week for the Hawks. Thomas excelled in CCC play, batting .625 (10-for-16) with four multiple-hit games, including a 5-for-6 doubleheader against Endicott, a 2-for-5 doubleheader against Gordon and a 3-for-5 doubleheader against Curry. RWU posted a 4-2 weekly record against CCC opponents.The junior was also selected at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week.
