BRISTOL, R.I.- Roger Williams cross country senior Kevin Clark (Feeding Hills, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Male Runner of the Week and RWU Male Athlete of the Week after his outstanding first-place finish at the Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday.

Clark posted a time of 26:22 in the 8k to claim victory by just one second in the event which featured 232 runners from 24 college teams. His first-place finish helped lead the Hawks to a third place finish overall.

This marks Clark’s first TCCC Runner of the Week award this season, after totaling four such honors by the end of the 2007 season.

Clark and the Hawks return to action Saturday, when they host the RWU Invitational at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I., beginning at 12:00 Noon.
