BRISTOL, R.I. - The Roger Williams Athletic Department has selected Angelica Ariola as their Female Athlete of the Week.  Ariola averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Hawks. In a 68-53 triumph over Gordon, she scored 15 points, including an impressive 75% (3-of-4) from three-point range. In a thrilling 74-68 overtime victory over CCC foe, University of New England, Ariola scored 19 points, including her 1000th career point with 42 seconds left in the first half from the free-throw line becoming the Hawks eighth player in school history to achieve the milestone. She also grabbed four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. With the overtime win, RWU tied UNE for first place in the final CCC regular season standings.  For the week, Ariola shot 43% (9-of-21) from the field, 67% (6-of-9) from three-point range and 78% (10-of-13) from the charity stripe.
