BRISTOL, R.I. - For his win at the ICSA Singlehanded National Championship, Cy Thompson (St. Thomas, U.S Virgin Islands) has been named the RWU Male Athlete of the Week.

Thompson won the ICSA Men’s Singlehanded Championships Sunday afternoon, giving the Roger Williams University Sailing team its first singlehanded title in school history.  Thompson was in 3^rd place going into the last day of competition, but finished the regatta tied in points with Kyle Rogachenko of Old Dominion. Due to the tie-breaking scenario, Thompson earned the win due to his impressive 11 wins of 18 against Rogachenko.

Roger Williams will return to action this weekend, as the Hawks will host the Team Racing Series Two on Sunday.
