BRISTOL, R.I.- Junior Dan Woods (Demarest, N.J.) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week Monday after an impressive showing at the Gator Duals in Fla. Sunday.

Wrestling three matches Sunday, Woods posted a 2-1 record, including two pins. His only loss was a tight 6-5 decision to junior Nic Barclay (Apple Valley, Minn.) of No. 5 Luther College.

Wrestling at 184, Woods pinned junior J.D. Sylvanus (Johnsburg, Ill.) of No. 30 Lakeland College at 1:41 and also freshman Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) of No. 14 Baldwin-Wallace at 2:00.

Woods improves to 12-5 on the season.

Woods and the team are back in action at the Williams College Invitational, Jan. 5.
