BRISTOL, R.I.- Freshman wrestler Nick Cambi (Cohasset, Mass.) has been named Roger Williams Male Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance at the Ithaca College Invitational November 3 and 4.  Cambi, who wrestles at 197 pounds, was one of only two freshman to earn a berth in the tournament's final round.

Earning his place in the finals, Cambi defeated three opponents, including the #4 and #5 seeds, Alex Chianurashvili of NYU and Matthew Andrikut of the University of Southern Maine, respectively.  Cambi lost in the finals to the #2 seed, Shawn VanWinger of TCNJ.

Head Coach Dave Kemmy describes Cambi as a strong and hard-working student-athlete with technical skill.  "He has quite a bit of potential" he adds.

Cambi will represent Roger Williams again this weekend on the mat, as the Hawks hosts the 13-team Roger Williams Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
