BRISTOL, R.I.- Sophomore goalkeeper Jen Garside (Londonderry, N.H.) has been named the Roger Williams Female Athlete of the Week  for the week of November 5.  The women's soccer standout earned a shutout against Western New England College in the TCCC semifinals.  She also held Endicott scoreless in regulation while making eight saves in the Hawks' 1-0 OT loss to the Gulls in the TCCC finals.

The TCCC Honorable Mention student-athlete finished the regular season ranked fourth in save percentage, with .866 after making 71 saves and allowing 11 goals in 15 games played. Garside was also ranked sixth in the conference for her 1.03 goals against average. 

"Her leadership and vocal ability are the best I've seen them in her two years" said Head Coach Emily Kiablick.  Kiablick explained that Garside has the ability to bring a needed sense of calm to the Hawks' defense, which complements her technical skill in goal.

Garside will play again for the Hawks this Wednesday, November 7, as #2 seed Roger Williams takes on #7 seed Curry College in the first round of the ECAC tournament.
