Season-high seven goals for Men's Soccer in win

NEWPORT, R.I. – Coming off of an important TCCC win on Saturday, the Roger Williams University Men's Soccer team maintains its first-place standing with a 7-0 win over Salve Regina University Wednesday afternoon.
 
Antoine Bell (Bordeaux, France) notched his second hat trick of the season, scoring goals in the 27th, 31st, and 48th minutes and increasing his season total to 15. DJ Hunter (Middletown, Conn.) also found his way into the scoring column with his first multi-goal game of the season. Hunter knocked in his fourth and fifth goals of the year less than a minute apart from each other midway through the second half.
 
Rounding out the Hawks' offensive output were Dan Saccoccio (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Duncan Swanwick (Basking Ridge, N.J.), who each scored their fifth and first goals of the year, respectively.
 
All three goalkeepers for RWU saw action in the game, with Peter Plate (Commack, N.Y.) picking up the win with two saves in 65 minutes of action. Will Sorkin (Davie, Fla.) made a save in his 14 minutes, while Dan Ruscigno (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) closed out the final 12 minutes of the game.
 
Salve Regina's Seth Nagle (Acton, Mass.) and Eric Davis (Woburn, Mass.) each saw time in net, with Nagle making four saves in 72 minutes and Davis stopping two balls in 18 minutes of play.
 
Roger Williams (9-6-1, 9-1-1 TCCC) will host New England College Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. during the University's Homecoming weekend.
