BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team got one win in two Saturday afternoon conference matches, as the Hawks defeated the University of New England 30-23, 30-26, 24-30, 31-29 and lost to Endicott College 30-22, 27-30, 30-15, 30-25.

 

Brittney Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) totaled a new season-high in digs in the match against UNE, totaling 32 against the Nor'easters. Amy Maurer (Madbury, N.H.) led the Hawks in kills with 16, while Kristina Dolan (Glenmont, N.Y.) had 13 kills of her own. Kirsten Bosworth (Centerville, Mass.) played a big role in the Hawk offense, handing out 45 assists in the match.

 

Against Endicott, Maurer's 14 kills led the Hawks, while Bosworth's 32 assists give her at least 30+ assists over her last three matches. Jill Hurd (Sunapee, N.H.) and Eileen O'Leary (Southington, Conn.) each dug out 15 balls for RWU. Sullivan served up five aces against the Gulls while contributing 14 digs as well.

 

Roger Williams (17-13, 6-4 TCCC) enter the upcoming TCCC Tournament as the fifth seed. The Hawks will go on the road to take on the University of New England Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
