Bell notches a pair of goals

Men's Soccer comes away with another win

QUINCY, Mass. The Roger Williams University Men's Soccer team kept its momentum going with a 3-1 win over Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday afternoon.

Antoine Bell (Bordeaux, France) had the first score of the game for the Hawks, heading in a corner in the 27th minute for the one goal lead. The advantage held up until Andy Van Amburg (Pepperell, Mass.) was undercut in mid-air, leading to a Hawk foul and subsequent penalty kick. Van Amburg knocked in the shot to tie the game with five minutes to go in the half.

The goal would not hold up for long, as Bell ended the stalemate, weaving through the Crusader defense for his 10th goal of the year and the eventual game winner. Brandon O'Donovan (Coram, N.Y.) would later add an insurance goal in the opening of the second half, finishing left off of a pass by Bell.

Peter Plate (Commack, N.Y.) earned his second win of the year, making two saves in the game.

Eastern Nazarene's Andrew Trice (Quincy, Mass.) made five saves for the Crusaders.

Roger Williams (5-5-1, 5-1-1 TCCC) hits the road Saturday afternoon for a 3:00 p.m. meeting with the University of New England.
