Three straight wins for Men's Soccer

BIDDLEFORD, Maine – With a 3-0 win over the University of New England Saturday afternoon, the Roger Williams University Men's Soccer team has now won three in a row and moves over the .500 mark.

Daniel Hunter (Middletown, Conn.) gave the Hawks an early 1-0 lead in the eighth minute of the game, a lead that RWU would not relinquish. Kevin Canty (Proctor, Vt.) would later add to the Hawk advantage, scoring his second goal of the year in the opening minute of the second half. Canty's day wasn't over yet, as he notched his first multi-goal game of the year with a score in the 72nd minute.

Brandon O'Donovan's (Coram, N.Y.) performance on the day was key in RWU's win, as he assisted on the Hunter goal and on Canty's first score.

Dan Ruscigno (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) had one save on the day in 80 minutes of action before he was relieved by Will Sorkin (Davie, Fla.). The Nor'Easters Derek Poulin (Scarborough, Maine) made four saves in the game, playing in the first 74 minutes before being substituted for Matt Cribbin (Madison, Conn.).

Roger Williams (6-5-1, 6-1-1 TCCC) heads up to Babson College Monday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. game.
