Box Score BIDDLEFORD, Maine – The Roger Williams University Women's Soccer team picked up its second straight win with a 2-0 shutout of the University of New England Saturday afternoon.
Junior Kristen O'Gorman (Tyngsboro, Mass.) had the Hawks' first goal of the game in the 33rd minute, collecting a loose ball off of a cross for her second score of the year.
The 1-0 score held up throughout the rest of the game until sophomore
Amanda daCunha (Wethersfield, Conn.) added her sixth goal of the year in the final minute of the contest, converting an O'Gorman through ball into a high shot.
Jenny Schermerhorn (Sherborn, Mass.) made four stops on the day for the shutout. Her counterpart, New England's Leigh Engel (Richmondville, N.Y.), also had four saves in the game.
Roger Williams (9-3-0, 7-2-0 TCCC) will travel to Providence for a Columbus Day meeting with Rhode Island College Monday at 6:00 p.m.
