Box Score WENHAM, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team continues to roll off wins with a 9-0 victory over Gordon College Saturday afternoon, extending its winning streak to nine.
Joanna Nettelfield (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) did not drop a single set all day, defeating Amy Rossman (Portland, Ore.) 6-0, 6-0 in #4 singles, then beating Rossman and Kate Kirby (Orono, Maine) 8-0 in #2 doubles with teammate
Leah Ribchinsky (Ivoryton, Conn.).
Jessica Manners (East Longmeadow, Mass.) won her matches in convincing fashion as well, with a 6-0, 6-0 performance over Kirby in #1 singles. She then paired up with
Caitlyn Leone (Irvington, N.Y.) at #1 doubles for the 8-1 win over Angela Langlais (Thomaston, Conn.) and Mackenzie Breton (Concord, N.H.).
The 9-0 win for Roger Williams marks the fourth time this season that the team has swept the entire match.
Roger Williams (9-1, 8-0 TCCC) will host Nichols College Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
