Men's Hoops rallies against rival Salve Regina for win

Box Score
BRISTOL, R.I. – Riding the support of a raucous home crowd against a cross-town rival, the Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team defeated Salve Regina University 77-66 Tuesday evening in a non-conference match.

Despite shooting 52% in the first half, the Hawks still found themselves trailing by four entering halftime. Blistering three-point shooting in the period by the Seahawks played a role in the Hawk deficit, as Salve Regina went 10-for-16 from behind the arc in the period.

The hot shooting for Salve came to a halt in the second half, with RWU holding the Seahawks to a 4-for-15 clip from downtown in the period and 34.5% from the field. Meanwhile, the Hawks maintained their steady stroke, going 12-of-22 from the field in the period, outscoring Salve by 15 to mount the comeback.

RWU received balanced scoring efforts from the entire squad, as every player that saw playing time scored at least one point. Four Hawks finished in double-figures, including William Barrett (Fairfield, Conn.) with 17, Michael Woolley (Seattle, Wash.) with 13, Geoff Baranger (Fairfield, Conn.) with 11, and Ben Camobreco (Duxbury, Mass.) with 10.

Salve's Justin Woodworth (Ipswich, Mass.) scored a team-high 25 points while going 7-of-11 from three-point range.
