BRISTOL, R.I. – Nate Boucher (Burlington, Conn.) and Ardy Jagne (Bronx, N.Y.) each logged their first goals of the season for the Roger Williams University Men's Soccer team Saturday afternoon in 2-0 win over the University of New England.

Boucher, who has missed the past two seasons due to injury, took a perfectly placed through ball from Archie Maoh (Monrovia, Liberia) in the middle of the box and chipped in a short shot in the 20th minute to put Roger Williams up by one. The goal for Boucher is his first since his game-winner against Curry College on September 10, 2005.

The Hawks kept the one-goal advantage throughout the rest of the half until Jagne chipped in a shot of his own in the 60th minute. The career defensive back knocked in his first career goal off a free kick from the foot of Dan Saccoccio (Holtsville, N.Y.).

The Hawk offense picked up especially in the second half, outshooting the Nor'Easters 14-2. UNE goalie, Derek Poulin (Scarborough, Maine), despite allowing the two Hawk goals, played well in the net, making seven saves on the day, including six in the second half.

Peter Plate (Commack, N.Y.) earned his eighth win of the season, stopping four shots for his fifth shutout of the season.
