WENHAM, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Volleyball team gave Gordon College its first Commonwealth Coast Conference loss of the season with a 3-1 victory Wednesday evening.
After dropping the first set 16-25, the Hawks stormed back with three straight wins by the scores 25-20, 25-14, and 25-20. The loss snaps a three-match winning streak for the Fighting Scots, who came into the match with a 6-0 record in the TCCC.

Middle hitters Kristina Dolan (Glenmont, N.Y.) and Rebekah Dion (Old Saybrook, Conn.) had six kills each and combined for ten total blocks.
“Anytime we get a conference win, it's a great win,” said Head Coach Bret Stothart. “We started a little slowly, but we came together as a team and we worked hard to get the win in the end.”
Roger Williams (18-12, 5-3 TCCC) hosts its final home match of Suffolk University Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. during Homecoming Weekend, while Gordon (15-9, 6-1 TCCC) heads up to Northampton on Friday for the Hall of Fame Tournament.
