MILTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak with an 8-1 win over Regis College Saturday afternoon to move to .500 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Katelin Richard (West Islip, N.Y.) had two wins for the Hawks on the day, defeating Francesca Panebianco (Huntington, N.Y.) in #5 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 score. In doubles play, she paired up with Leah Ribchinsky (Ivoryton, Conn.) to defeat Lauren Maloney (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Kathleen Rush (Waterbury, Conn.) in the second flight.

Amanda Wolfe (Mansfield, Mass.) also picked up a pair of wins, one of which came in a 6-1, 6-1 decision over Maloney. Along with her teammate, Katie Wilmes (White Bear Lake, Minn.), the duo took an 8-1 match in #3 doubles.

In other singles play, Lily Osowski (Byfield, Mass.) won her second flight match over Rachel Axelrod (Merion Station, Pa.) 1-6, 6-3, 10-4, while Caitlin Osepchuk (Ocean Grove, N.J.) defeated Lara Abujabar (Amman, Jordan) 6-4, 6-1 in the fourth flight.

Kaitlin Ross (East Freetown, Mass.) had the lone win for the Colonels, winning a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 match over Ribchinsky in #1 singles.

Roger Williams (4-6, 4-4 TCCC) will travel to Eastern Nazarene College Monday for a 3:30 p.m. match, while Curry (3-9, 1-6 TCCC) will be on the road at Nichols Tuesday for a 4:00 match.
