Box Score MILTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team clinched a berth in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament with a 62-54 win over Curry College Wednesday evening.
Both teams entered the game with a 5-6 mark in conference play and tied for eighth in the TCCC. With the win, the Hawks move back to the .500 mark and take sole possession of eight place.

Heather Babin (Danvers, Mass.) nearly finished with a triple-double, going for 17 points, eight rebounds, and a season-best nine steals.
The Hawks jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, which they stretched to a ten-point advantage in the first ten minutes of the game. Up by a 19-6 margin with 6:49 to play in the period, the Colonels closed the half on a 15-10 run, scoring the final five points to bring the game to a 27-24 score.
Both teams fought tooth and nail over the opening ten minutes of the second half, which saw eight lead changes and two ties during the stretch and neither team leading by more than three. When the dust cleared, Ewanowski broke a 39-39 tie with a bucket from downtown at the 10:44 mark. That three-pointer sparked a 13-2 run by the Hawks that put the game out of reach for the Colonels. Curry never came closer than seven points from that point forward.
Christina Sancinito (Wakefield, Mass.) finished with a double-double for Curry, scoring 14 with a game-high 14 rebounds. Cortney Robinson's (Brockton, Mass.) 15 points led the Colonels, while Danyel Cousins (Brunswick, Maine) also scored in double figures with 11.
Roger Williams (11-13, 6-6 TCCC) plays its final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon with a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Eastern Nazarene College. Curry (10-14, 5-7 TCCC) hosts Endicott College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
