Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Mass- The Roger Williams men's tennis team earned a non-conference victory over opponent Bridgewater State on Thursday, 6-3. The Hawks took four of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches in the win.
After dropping the first two singles flights at No. 1 and No. 2, the Hawks stormed back to take all matches from No. 3 to No. 6. Senior Daniel Roberts (Milford, Conn.), sophomore Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.), senior Ryan Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn.) and freshman Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) all picked up individual wins.
Kleitz and Baker also earned the Hawks a point with their 8-5 doubles victory over Brendon Barbo and Barry Gorman. Fayed competed at No. 3 doubles with partner Jeffrey Agonia (Lincoln, R.I.) to earn the team's sixth point, an 8-4 win over Nicholas Ambrose and Justin Lipomi.
Roger Williams will travel to Wenham, Mass. to take on CCC opponent Gordon College in a 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday.
