QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene was swept, 9-0, by the third-place Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team Tuesday afternoon.

 

Crusader junior Jack Sahlman (Burlington, Conn) played an outstanding match at third singles as he lost 7-6 (4) / 7-5 giving Hawk sophomore Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.) a run for his money. In a match consisting of long volley's and shots landing inches from the baselines, Sahlman showed a strong quality of play vs. one of the TCCC top teams.

 

The remaining singles matches the Hawks won in two sets being led by senior Brad Bolte (Augusta, NJ) at #1 singles, 6-2 / 6-0 and Bolte / senior Daniel Roberts (Milford, Conn.) at #1 doubles, 8-4.

 

Roger Williams is home to Nichols College on Thursday, April 17 at 4:00 pm. Eastern Nazarene plays again tomorrow, April 16th vs. Wentworth at the Winsor School at 6:30 pm.
