Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team was edged by Salve Regina University Wednesday afternoon by a 5-4 margin, as the Seahawks remain undefeated (4-0) in TCCC play.
The Hawks were able to take two of the three doubles matches, as
Daniel Roberts (Milford, Conn.) and
Brad Bolte (Augusta, N.J.) defeated Jason Lago (Seabrook, N.H.) and Andrew Martin (Glastonbury, Conn.) 9-8 in the first flight.
Jeff Agonia (Lincoln, R.I.) and
Ryan Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn.) won an 8-5 decision over Michael Collins (Winchester, Mass.) and Trey Van Buskirk (La Jolla, Calif.) in third doubles.
In singles play, the Seahawks picked up four wins, including Van Buskirk over Fayed in the fourth flight, taking the 6-3, 6-1 decision. Martin dropped the first set against
Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) in #5 singles before coming back with a 6-7, 6-1, 6-0 win.
Roger Williams (5-6, 1-1 TCCC) hosts Nichols College Saturday at 1:00 p.m., while Salve Regina (9-3, 4-0 TCCC) travels Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. match against Colby-Sawyer College.
