Box Score BRISTOL, R.I.- The RWU women's lacrosse team (10-3, 7-2) scored 14 goals in the first half Tuesday night en route to a 16-2 victory over Nichols College (4-10, 1-8) at Vendetti Field in Dudley, Mass.
The Hawks ran to a 10-0 lead in the first 16:03 of the game before Nichols senior Stephanie Tenczar (West Springfield, Mass.) put the Bison on the board with 9:30 remaining in the half.
One additional Nichols goal sandwiched between two RWU goals left the score 14-2 at halftime.
Twelve different Hawks scored in the game, including junior
Jackie Criss (Westwood, Mass.) who scored a game-high four points with one goal and three assists.
Lauren Ferri (Northport, N.Y.),
Libby Stout (Concord, Mass.),
Claire Halliday (Trenton, N.J.) and
Annie Alvord (Yorktown, N.Y.) all tallied two goals in the game.
Hawks goalkeeper sophomore
Amanda Magee (Columbus, N.J.) made two saves in each half for the win, while sophomore MaryKate Bednarz (Springfield, Mass.) tallied five each half.
Nichols' next and final regular season game is Saturday at the University of New England. RWU travels to Gordon Friday for a 3:30 contest.
