NEWPORT, R.I.  – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team's quest for a Commonwealth Coast Conference championship ended Saturday afternoon as Salve Regina University defeated the 8-1 for its second straight TCCC Championship.

Daniel Roberts(Milford, Conn.) picked up RWU's sole win on the day, a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Jason Lago in #2 singles. Ryan Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn.) fell in a tightly contested #4 singles match against Trey Van Buskirk, falling 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.

In doubles play, the duo of Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.) fell to Lago and Andrew Martin in the second flight by an 8-4 score. Fayed and Brian Kennedy (Cheshire, Conn.) lost to Michael Collins and Chris Tolo by the same 8-4 score.

Roger Williams finishes its season 13-8 overall and 7-2 in the conference. Salve Regina wraps up their season at 18-3 record and a perfect 9-0 record in the TCCC and will represent the conference in the NCAA Tournament.
