BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College women's tennis team continued its winning streak to start the season by beating Roger Williams 7-2 in TCCC conference action on Saturday.  The win improves the Gulls to 7-0 (5-0 TCCC) while the loss moves the Hawks to 3-3 (3-2 TCCC). 

Current TCCC Rookie of the Week Kate Cioffi (Essex, Vt.) won again in #1 singles and #2 doubles with her teammate Alyson Boehm (Lowell, Mass.).

In doubles play, current TCCC Player of the Week Nicole Breting (Johnston, R.I.) and Lori Wardner (Wrentham, Mass.) were able to keep the Gulls unbeaten streak in doubles intact as they were able to beat Leah Ribchinsky (Ivoryton, Conn.) and Lily Osowski (Byfield, Mass.), 8-3.  Cioffi and Boehm were able to win their match against Katelin Richard (West Islip, N.Y.) and Caitlin Osepchuk (Ocean Grove, N.J.) 7-5 while senior teammates Kate Fiske (Westerly, R.I.) and Jenna Carme (Greenfield, Mass.) posted an 8-0 shutout for their victory.

During singles play, Cioffi was able to best Leah Ribchinsky in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.  Senior Nicole Breting faced her first setback of the year as she lost to Lily Osowski 6-3, 6-1.  Both Lori Wardner and Alyson Boehm were able to win in their singles matches, while Roger Williams' Caitlin Osepchuk was able to beat the Gulls' Kate Fiske 6-3, 7-6.  Senior Jenna Carme was able to win her singles match to clinch the victory for the Gulls by winning 6-1, 7-5. 

The Blue and Green look to continue their undefeated season when they travel to Wenham, Massachusetts and take on TCCC rival Gordon College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.  The Hawks of Roger Williams will travel to the campus of Salve Regina in Newport, R.I. to take on the Seahawks in TCCC action on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
